Client Spotlight: MARC Institute

by: Micha BoettigerTue, Mar 15, 2016

This month we started an exciting new project with the Miami Anatomical Research Center Institute. MARC Institute is a world class educational training facility for orthopedic surgeons and other medical professionals from all over the world. Additionally, they’re host to a private cadaver lab, which private institutions can rarely offer for educational or research purposes.

Education

MARC Institute provides a variety of courses and seminars designed for medical professionals seeking to advance their knowledge. They're committed to providing professionals with the skills they need to provide superior care to their patients. They do this through a combination of lectures and hands on learning in their wet lab that’s designed to capacitate students in the execution of a wide variety of procedures and pathological disease recognition.

Research

Beyond offering educational courses, the institute also offer the tools and trained staff needed to conduct research. The ready availability of fresh frozen cadavers makes it possible for medical professionals to rapidly raise and address anatomical and pathological questions and doubts as they’re raised by various medical professionals.

Their results then become shared knowledge with the hundreds of other professionals that MARC works with.

Certifications

MARC Institute is currently working with a variety of well-known universities, hospitals, and medical societies to develop courses that’ll provide internationally recognized certificates upon completion.

Medical Device Patents

Developing new medical devices can be horrendously complex on its own, and getting them patented is a completely different ballgame. They help people incubate their ideas and turn them into reality, providing resources to aid in everything from designs, to development, to getting a patent, to negotiating with big companies to sell or distribute new devices. All this makes them an invaluable resource for anyone looking to develop their own medical device patents.

What Does That Mean in Terms of Marketing?

Here we’re clearly working with a relatively small, but integrated and high level audience. While not all doctors will necessarily want or need to work on a cadaver, all medical professionals have the opportunity to learn and keep up with the newest findings in their respective fields.

Since we’re speaking to a specific niche audience with this client, it’s all about finding and integrating with existing communities and ensuring that MARC institute is on their radar. This is very different from, for example, food related clients that are all about reaching as much of the general public as possible. Stick around for more updates on this exciting new client!
